Holiday Party and Bridge Lighting
THANK YOU to our neighbors and friends who attended our 14th Holiday Party and Bridge Lighting last Sunday. The VOC is pleased to again make the Party and Bridge Decoration our gift to the Venice Canals community.
The VOC and community provided appetizers, desserts, and hot drinks of cider, mulled wine, and Mexican chocolate. “The Shoo Flies” made wonderful music. Councilman Mike Bonin attended and thanked community members for their involvement.
You contributed $680.00 and fifteen gifts so that young tenants from low-income families receive a gift this holiday season. The Venice Community Housing Corporation’s will do the distribution. Steve Clare, VCHC, attended and appreciates your generosity.
Thanks to all but especially the bridge designers and constructors: John Ransom, Barbara Mastej, Patrick Taylor, and John Revell. Decorations and food set up by: Susan Painter, Linda Shusett, Marjorie Weitzman, Lindsay McKay, Barbara Malsch, John Revell, John Ransom, Paul Davis and Steve Dennis.
Thank you Denise Fast, RE/MAX Estate Properties, for printing the Ransom/Mastej designed flyer. The bridge is lit from 4:45 to 11:00 p.m. until Jan 1st.
Continuing the canal holiday festivities is the Holiday Boat Parade supported by the VCA. It will be next Sunday, the 13th at 4:00, and starts at Sherman and Eastern Canals.
