Linnie Canal Downwind Regatta
A Beautiful Regatta Day
The rubber ducky race began the activities from the Dell Ave. bridge at 1:30. At 2:00, the wind-powered Regatta boats for the kids and adults race started from the corner of Linnie Canal & Grand Canal. Cash prizes were won for the ducky race and regatta boats. From 1:00 to 2:30 hamburgers, turkey burgers, and hot dogs were sold.
Everyone had a great time at this Annual Event sponsored by the Venice Canals Association (VCA). Thank you to our Bike Patrol Officers, David Rivera and Carols Gonzalez, who are both working the day and this evening. Their extra patrol time was jointly paid for by the VCA and Voice of the Canals.
