Resident Report: Large group gathered and became restless when another individual started yelling… the group followed the individual down Grand Canal towards Washington Blvd. and beat him up. Also reported that the individual was thrown into the canals. The group then moved east to Grand Canal Court. The police were called.

Resident Report from 25XX Grand Canal Court:
‘Rear Window‘ view of car break in Grand Canal Court @ 2XX Sherman Canal – Court B. Early this morning I was awakened at 5.30am – a detector light at the rear of a house was flickering on and off creating alternate light and dark in my bedroom. I caught sight of a man trying to access the trunk of a car directly opposite, parked outside 2XX Sherman Court B. My first though was that it was someone setting off to work early. He was having difficulty opening the trunk of the car. Finally it opened and he was looking inside. It was half light I could not very clearly what he removed. He tried to press down the door of the trunk but he seemed unable to do it. Then he departed in the direction of the wishing bridge on Howland Canal leaving the trunk door ajar. At that point, I decided he was probably a car burglar. I am sharing this message to warn neighbors not to leave anything valuable in cars parked outside a garage.

Resident Report: Man let himself into our home while we here. He opened the gate on canal side, walked through the garden. My housemate was in bed, opened her bedroom door which faces garden, and walked in asking her if the woman who stole his phone was here. I was in my room and was confused and thought maybe it was the gardener. Last seen roaming the canals on Carroll Canal heading out towards Venice Blvd. Description: Hair: black ,Top: red tshirt, Bottom: black jeans or sweatpants, Age: 40 , Sex: Male ,Race: African American, Physical Build: Thin.
